Hey Pittsburgh steelers won super bowl 2009!!!!!! Held at Tampa,Florida......................

Now whats this SuPer bowL??? For people who are not aware of...Let's have some brief idea!!!!Super bowl is a championship game for American football conducted by National Football League (NFL).iTS aLso said that it was first started in 1967 as a agreement between NFL and AFL (American Football League) which later in 1970 got merged with NFL.These days Superbowl in US is considered to be the most watched game and also most food consuming Sunday and this year it was played yesterday i.e. 1st Feb 2009 in Tampa.Super BoWL championship takes place almost every year and this year i.e.2009 I got the chance to watch and know about since I was in pittsburgh...Until now I was not even aware that something like this exists...So now am sharing with people who are not aware!!!!!

Most watched game in US i.e the american football which is team game which requires all-round physical fitness and players weighting excess of 240 pounds. Players have to be fast, strong, and proficient in the six basic skills of football: passing, catching, running, blocking, tackling, and kicking!!! *tHis game is said to be started from RuGby And SoCcer and Walter Camp (shown in picture) is known as father of AmEriCan FootBAlL!!
This game is played in a field of 360 by 160 feet with a 4 quarters of 15 minutes duration and 11 players at a time and maximum players not more than 53.The game starts with the tossing of coin,wherein the winning team have three options;

• To choose whether to receive the kickoff or to kickoff
• To choose which goal to defend
• Finanlly whether to defer the first choice to the other team and have first choice to start the second half

The objective of the game is to score points by advancing the ball into the opposing team's end zone and also to gain territory. The ball can be advanced by carrying it (a running play) or by throwing it to a teammate (a passing play). Points can be scored in a variety of ways, including carrying the ball over the opponent's goal line; catching a pass from beyond that goal line; kicking the ball through the goal posts at the opponent's end zone; and tackling an opposing ballcarrier within his end zone. The winner is the team with the most points when the time expires.

• The longer boundary lines are sidelines
• the shorter boundary lines are end lines
• Near each end of the field is a goal line
• The end zones are two 10-yard-wide (9-meter-wide) areas at each end of the field inside the end line. The end zone behind a team is that team's end zone, and the end zone ahead of a team is its opponent's end zone.
• There are shorter lines, called hash marks, marking each one-yard interval
• Yard lines cross the field every 5 yards (4.6 m), and are numbered every 10 yards from each goal line to the 50-yard line, or midfield (similar to a typical rugby league field)

Team of 11 members at a time comprising of offence,defense and special team;

• If team A has possession of the ball, they use their offensive team to attempt to advance the ball toward the opponents endzone.
• If team B has the ball, team A will use their defensive team to attempt to stop team B from advancing the ball.
• If a kicking play is expected, both teams will use their special teams.

MetHoDs of ScOrinG;

1. Touchdown gives 6 points that is a player runs the ball into or catches a pass in his opponent's end zone.
2. Field goal is scored by kicking the ball over the crossbar and through the goal posts (uprights) and credits 3 points.
3. Safety credits team 2 points, it is scored by the opposing team when the team in possession at the end of a down is responsible for the ball becoming dead behind its own goal line
4. The team scoring a touchdown is given the bonus of trying to add one or two more points. These are called extra one point conversion attempts and if it goes for go for two extra points it gets two point conversation.

Pittsburgh steeler; a professional american football team founded in 1933 by Art Rooney as Pittsburgh Pirates have now become the one of the first NFL franchise to 6 Super Bowl Titles. They also won 7 AFC championship the image of one is shown in picture below;

Originally, the team wore solid gold-colored helmets and black jerseys which was later changed to gold pants and either black jerseys or white jerseys in 1968 And Now its current Third uniform, consisting of a black jersey with gold lettering, white pants with black and gold stripes, and a gold helmet....

The Steelers in 2008-2009 became the first team in NFL History to defeat an opponent three times in a single season using three different uniforms

Celebrations In Pittsburgh were done in many ways..Some of them were really crazy!! like some couch was burnt, windows were broken,cars were overturned.... Some celebrated by fireworks,parties and so on....
