  My Daughter loves pink, I know its all girls favorite color. But do you know we can make a simple tea of pink color.....  Being a mom means experimenting with so many things to make kids interesting with food, games, activities, learning... My daughter loves painting and mixing colors to see how new color comes up. She loves tea and so i did this with my daughter and she loved it..... Today when I was in our garden, saw many of these little blue and white flowers and I had read previously about simple herbal caffeine free tea of this so thought to try it out...  Hello  friends , long time coming back with a new blog. Thought of sharing my mom's traditional hair oil made at home , now thati have a daughter have tried this myself at home .. came very good .. Here is a process of it  sharing  your reference !! Ingredients- Few neem leaves  Few tulsi leaves Few guava leaves  Few curry leaves Coconut oil Steps 1. Pick leaves few of them can omit obe of you do noy have  Step 2. Wash thoroughly and dry it from towel Step 3. Once dries grind to small pieces . Step 4. Now dry fry in a pan until it is kind of dry leaves, add coconut oil to it. I took around half small cup. Boil till it brings a nice smell.  Step 5. Switch off, cool down before you put in a glass jar. Have a nice and beautiful hair... Good for preventing dandruff and good hair growth, self tested. Hello Friends, Mango... aah.. name itself makes us feel like eating be it Raw or ripen. Mango is national fruit, There are over 100 varieties of mango's in India, in a range of colors, sizes, and shapes. Common in the tropical part of the world, mangos are savored for their sweet juice and bright colors. People in India eat mango's ripe, or prepare them green as pickles, eat raw with salt, chilly powder or chutneys. They are rich in vitamin A, C, and D. So today I am going to tell a  simple and easy recipe for preparation of mango pickle. Actually this recipe is from my father in law, he loves cooking. I had prepared it for lunch and believe me it was dam tasty..... basale/ bachali kura/ vine spinach sticks soup

Hello Friends, Am back after long time.. Was busy with my little one..he has completed four months,,, Back to the topic...today my aunt prepared soup of vine spinach stick ( photo of vine spinach) Ingredients- vine spinach sticks pepper powder salt to taste lemon onions finely chopped fried bread crumbs corn flour for thickness Method- 1. Pressure cook the sticks for 3 whisles. 2. Once cool grind them to a paste. 3. Boil the paste with water and salt and add corn flour for thickness. 4. Add pepper powder and also boil for few seconds and add lemon for taste. 5. Now in a bowl take the boiled soup. Serve hot with butter and bread crumbs.....  and have a good health....

Mixed Vegetable Kurma

Hello Friends, Long time. Am very happy to announce entrance of new addition of new member i.e my son into our family. So was busy getting adjusted to my new born. Anyways its been long time we made kurma at our house. So I thought I would share the receipe with you all. Ingredients required: Potato -1 or 2 cut into cubes Carrot- 1 or 2 Beans- 8-9 cut in small pieces Capsicum- 1 or 2 Corn - 1 cup Peas-1 cup Onions-1 or 2 into slices  Curd - 1 cup (bit sour preferred) Coriander Leaves Curry leaves Salt to taste Green chillies -4 Paneer in cubes (optional) Oil- 2tsp Turmeric -1tsp For  Masala- Ginger Garlic- 7-8  Elaichi- 4 Lavang - 4-5 Coriander seeds - 3 spoons Khus Khus - 5 spoons Coconut - 5 spoons (optional) Red chillies -5 Cinnamon- 2 Method- First grind all the masala ingredients with small amount of water. Second pressure cook 3 whistles all the vegetables except onions. Third heat oil in a pan,add green chillies, fry onions...

Hagalakai ( Bittergourd) Menasakai

Bitter gourd as name depicts is bitter and most of them dislike due to its bitterness.... Its anyways one of my favorite  Normally I do eat less spicy but any recipe of bittergourd no matter how spicy it is I just love it.. Health wise Bitter gourd contains vitamin A, B1, B2, and C. It also contains minerals like calcium, phosphorous, iron, copper and potassium. It helps purify blood tissue, enhances digestion, and stimulates the liver and also controls diabetics.   Lets see how Hagalakai ( Bittergourd) Menasakai is prepared, for people who does not like bittergourd can substitute with pineapple or slightly ripened mangoes or hog plums instead of bitter gourd.Even the taste of Hagalakai ( Bittergourd) Menasakai is sweet rather than bitter. chukkudkaya/ Indian Broad Beans Curry

Am back with new recipe.   Its a simple recipe which can be served with rice/ chapati.... and that is chukkudkaya/ Indian Broad Beans Curry.  Lets go short and see how it is cooked!!! Ingredients: chukkudkaya/ Indian Broad Beans Curry- 1/2 kg ginger- half piece green chillies- 5-6 salt to taste For seasoning- oil 2-3tsp mustard seeds 1tsp jeera 1tsp red chillies 2-3 Channa dal 1tsp urad dal 1tsp curry leaves Here it goes: first grind the green chillies and ginger together to a paste. heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. when it splutters, add remaining seasoning items. once done add the ginger chillies paste and let fry for 2 mins now add chukkudkaya/ Indian Broad Beans Curry and cook it for 5-7 min with salt in medium flame. its ready. serve with rice/ chapati.
